What to Expect Due To Our Sustainability Efforts

At Playa Cativo Eco Lodge, we generate 100% clean electric energy by hydropower, complemented by solar panels, and we also heat our water with solar power. In turn, our guests can enjoy clean air and undisturbed silence.

All bathroom amenities, as well as cleaning and laundry products, are biodegradable and manufactured in Costa Rica to minimize our carbon footprint. We ask guests to use our complimentary quality products and avoid bringing non-biodegradable shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and similar products.

We also ask that guests avoid bringing devices that will overtly tax our fragile electrical system, such as hairdryers. If you have any specific questions please reach out to our reservations team and we will be happy to assist you with details.
